How Team Strength & Prices Update (TPI)
After each game, team strength updates based on:
- Result — Who won or lost.
- Opponent quality — Strong or weak?
- Location — Home, away, or neutral.
Team prices reflect these strengths over time.
Why Wins Don’t Always Move Prices
Not all wins are equal:
- A predictable win vs. a weak team moves prices differently than an upset vs. a strong team.
- A dominant home win moves prices differently than a close road win.
Outcome quality matters. Sharper insights yield better results.
How Performance Points Work
Performance Points reward how teams perform relative to expectations.
- Beating expectations earns PP.
- Underperforming costs PP.
- Close games matter — not just outcomes.
Predicting accurately over time matters more than one lucky call.
What Skill Score Represents
Skill Score measures sharpness and discipline over time.
Key factors include:
- Accuracy — How often you’re right.
- Consistency — Stability of performance.
- Discipline — Handling swings responsibly.
One great day is different from a month of good decisions. Skill Score rewards consistency.

- 1.Team A is expected to win by 5.
- 2.You buy shares believing they’ll outperform.
- 3.Team A wins by 12.
- 4.You earn PP for beating expectations.
Winning the game mattered less than how they won.
